  13. StartMenu is a nice program and it really has some nice features, but lets
  14. face it, the icons that come with it are not really attractive, IMHO.  If
  15. you are like me, you love the MagicWB icon designs, and strive to have
  16. every icon conform to the MagicWB look.
  17.  
  18. With this small collection of brushes and icons you can have StartMenu's
  19. appearence fit the MagicWB standard.  I know the author of StartMenu
  20. stated that a "feature" of StartMenu was that it "Does not require Magic
  21. Workbench".  Well, I like MagicWB icons and its colour scheme so I just
  22. had to get StartMenu to look good on my Workbench, and this is the result.

  25. About the Icons and Brushes
  26. ---------------------------
  27. Many of the icons and brushes I just cut and paste from other sources, and
  28. I just did a bit of touch up.  I hope the original artists (who ever they
  29. are) do not mind me doing this to their work.

  31. The Mini Icons and brushes are all a size of 20x20.  This was done so that
  32. with a text size of 11 points (I use XHelvetica/11) and a StartMenu icon
  33. multiplier of 1.80, the icons and brushes would not be resized and
  34. therefore look distorted.

  37. Installation
  38. ------------
  39. Just copy the files to the corresponding drawers.

  41. In the StartMenu Setup program, under Custom, set the following:

  43. Misc: Icon Multiplier = 1.80
  44.       Font            = XHelvetica/11
  45.       Spacing         = 0

  47.       Commodities  = ON
  48.       Screens      = ON
  49.       System Prefs = ON
  50.       Logo         = ON

  65. For the WinControl Prefs, you may want to have disk windows show up
  66. differently on the TaskBar.  Here is an example template of what I use:
